A four-year-old boy has died after falling into a swimming pool at a private villa in Nerja.
A family from Scandinavia were spending a few days in Nerja and were celebrating the birthday of the grandfather of the young boy.
The boy apparently fell into the swimming pool and was submerged for a few moments before one of the adults in the house noticed and rescued him.
An ambulance arrived and medics performed CPR on the child and once he was stabilised he was transferred to the Hospital Materno Infantil in Málaga. His condition, however, was serious and unfortunately he died a few days later.
