Five people have been arrested for their alleged connection with the kidnapping of a man and his niece and daughter on Saturday in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Cádiz province.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when the car the three people were travelling in was intercepted by a number of individuals. The man and his young niece and daughter were taken to a nearby farm. The two girls, both aged eight years, were released a few hours later.
The man was finally liberated on Monday and his five alleged captors were apprehended. It is thought the kidnapping was related to some sort of settling of accounts relating to drug trafficking.
