Fraudsters arrested in Armilla, Granada province

The National Police in Armilla, Granada, have arrested six people aged between 20 and 30 years, and broken up an organised group dedicated to the fraudulent sale of high-end phones via websites.

The investigation began after someone in Madrid complained that he had paid €370 for a mobile phone after seeing an advertisement on a popular calssifieds website, but never received the phone.

Police discovered five bank accounts where more than 60 payments had been received from people in various parts of Spain who had answered ‘for sale’ advertisements placed by the group, none of them receiving the purchased goods. Police managed to identify and arrest the fraudsters.
