The XIII Memorial Mateo David Bautista football tournament was held on Saturday at the Municipal Football Pitch, with junior teams from Motril, Granada, Betis, Rec. Huelva, Almería, Córdoba, Cádiz and C.D. Nerja-Axarquía participating.
In the ‘Benjamin’ category, UD Almería were crowned champions with Cádiz CF in second, Granada in third and CD Nerja-Axarquia in fourth place. Cristian Gutiérrez (Almeria) was voted Best Player and Ismael Cortijo (Cádiz) was voted Best Goalkeeper.
In the ‘Alevín’ category, Betis were crowned champions, with Cádiz CF in second, UD Almería in third and CD Nerja-Axarquia in fourth place. Rubén Cabezas (Betis) was voted the Best Player and José Manuel Alonso Platero (Nerja-Axarquia) was voted Best Goalkeeper.
