The National Police have arrested 16 epople belonging to four organised groups stealing clothing fom various shops in Málaga.
Police recovered a total of 141 items to the value of €3,800. The detainees, four males and 12 females, are aged between 18 and 40 years. Two of the groups are residents of Sevilla, travelling down to Málaga to carry out their pilfering.
The thieves would often pick out items and then circumvent the shop security systems. On some occasions they would select items whose value was below that legally considered as theft.
