Marc Marquez became the first rider to win 11 races in a season since Valentino Rossi in 2005 with a win at Silverstone in the British MotoGP.
Marquez had to battle for the win for a change, last year’s Silverstone winner Jorge Lorenzo giving him a run for his money, but in the end made it eleven wins out of twelve. Rossi was a distant third, eight seconds adrift.
