Floods in Montilla

The municipality of Montilla, Córdoba province, is counting the cost of a heavy downpour on Wednesday afternoon which flooded the railway station and the basement of the local hospital.

Around 40 litres per square metre of water fell on the town within a few hours, flooding not only the railway station and hospital but also a number of homes and businesses. Several streets had to be closed due to flooding.
