Córdoba gave Granada victory over Bilbao with the only goal of the match scored in the thirty-ninth minute of the first half.
Granada are now, at least temporarily, third in La Liga.
Elsewhere, Atlético Madrid were held to a 2-2 by visiting Celta de Vigo. The visitors actually took the lead after nineteen minutes through Hernández before Miranda and Godin netted to give Atlético a slender lead going in to the break. A penalty by Nolito gave battling Celta de Vigo a share of the spoils,
Espanyol and Málaga also shared the points in a 2-2 draw, Caicedo and Stuani scoring for the home team and Camacho and Duda getting the goals for the Blue and Whites, Duda scoring in the third minute of injury time.
