National Police in León have arrested the couple wanted in connection with the death of a two-year-old boy whose body was found next to a railway line in La Argañosa, Oviedo, on November 3rd.
The young boy died on October 31st 2014 as a result of multiple injuries and the body was discovered by railway workers on November 3rd 2014. The mother, a 21-year-old Moroccan woman, and her partner, a 35-year-old Spanish national, subsequently disappeared and a nationwide search was launched.
It is reported that the partner informed the police that they wanted to surrender and they were arrested on Tuesday in a public park in the Las Ventas district of León.
The detainees are being transferred to Oviedo.
