The Council has been carrying out repair works at the Nueva Nerja school, taking advantage of the Christmas holiday period.
The initial intention was to carry out work to unclog the sewage pipes, but it soon became apparent that the pipes were in poor condition and needed replacing.
These maintenance and repair works are apparently the responsibility of the Junta de Andalucia, but requests for these to be carried out at Nueva Nerja, and at other schools in the municipality, have as usual fallen upon deaf ears according to the Council.
