Aduriz scored the only goal of the match in the 26th minute. Real are only two points ahead of Barcelona who could go top if they win on Sunday.
Sevilla were involved in a seven goal thriller, beating Deportivo Coruña 3-4 to keep hold of fifth place in La Liga. Oriol Riera with two and Lucas Pérez were the scorers for the home side, Vitolo with two, Gameiro with a penalty and an own goal from Sidnei were the scorers for Sevilla.
A 57th minute own goal from Camacho gifted victory to Granada in their match against Málaga.
