2011 road traffic fatalities down by 13%

The definitive total of road deaths during 2011 has just been published, with 2,060 people losing their lives on the roads in Spain. This represents a 13% decrease compared to 2010.

New Ryanair route Málaga-Stockholm in 2011

Low cost airline Ryanair will be starting a new route from Málaga airport as from March 2011. The new route is to Vasteras airport in Stockholm, Sweden, and there will be two flights each week, on Wednesday and Sunday. Ryanair already operate flights to Gothenburg and Stockholm-Skavsta.

Paternity leave to be extended

The CiU has reached an agreement with Congress to increase paternity leave from 15 days to 4 weeks as from January 1st 2011. It is anticipated that the agreement will be approved on June 18th by the Commission and then passed to the Senate. The Equality Act, adopted in March 2007, established a period of 15 days for paternity leave.
