Golf legend Seve Ballesteros is in a stable condition and under observation in intensive care at La Paz Hospital in Madrid after undergoing a third operation to reduce swelling and remove remnants of a tumour in his brain. The successful operation, led by La Paz’s chief brain surgeon Javier Heredero, lasted more than six hours.

Severiano Ballesteros will today, Friday, undergo a further operation at the La Paz hospital, his third since collapsing on October 6th. He is currently in a serious but stable condition.
