Users of the Cercanias – urban trains – in Málaga have had to suffer five consecutive days of cancellations due to a shortage of drivers, some taking their annual leave and others being out sick.
C5 local train service in Sevilla now operational
Sunday saw the official inauguration of the new C5 local train service from Sevilla to Aljarafe Norte, a project which has cost €52.7 million.
€50 million for extension to local train service in Sevilla
The Council of Ministers has authorised the Ministry of Public Works to begin the tender process for the extension of the local train service in Sevilla. The €50 million project includes the extension of the local train service to reach Benacazón and the commissioning of a new line, the C-5.
Local train ticket prices to rise by 6% in 2010
The ticket price for the local train services (Cercanias) is set to rise by 6% at the beginning of 2010, an increase above the CPI.
