The fresh fish shop towards the bottom of avenida Castilla Perez has closed, as has the leather goods shop next door. The old Tantra bar in Plaza Tutti Frutti (Tantra moved across the square) has been renovated and is now the Safari bar specialising in gins and cocktails.

The Asador Dos Hermanos in calle Cristo is now the Pequeña Cibeles, while down on calle Carabeo, the former Carabeo Cafe has become Bakus.

Torrox Council has approved an amendment to the municipal ordinance relating to the Occupation of Public Roads which will affect the installation of furniture and other items relating to entrepreneurial activity in public spaces.

Changes to Spotify policy
As from May 1st, online music service Spotify is limiting its free service to 10 hours per month, half the time currently offered, and users will only be able to listen to tracks five times. New users will get six months of free content before the changes kick in.
