Local Police in Torre del Mar have seized 183 packs of contraband cigarettes hidden inside barrels of beer in a local bar.
Cigarette sales down in Andalucia
Sales of cigarettes in Andalucia during the first half of the year have fallen by 13.86% compared to the same period in 2011. At the same time, sales of cigars have risen by 23.21%, rolling tobacco has risen by 18.51% and pipe tobacco sales are up 13.34%.
Altadis raises price of cigarettes
Tobacco manufacturer Altadis, a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco, has announced increases in the price of its major brands, namely Fortuna, Nobel and Ducados.
