A total of nine Terrestrial Digital Television channels are set to close down by May 6th 2014 as a result of a 2012 Supreme Court ruling that cancelled out the concession of additional channels to existing broadcasters on the grounds that the concession was made without a public bid and that new operators were therefore deprived of a chance to join the market.
Hayastan closing down…
The crafts, clothes, accessories and other sundry items shop Hayastan in avenida Castilla Perez is closing down, items currently at least 50% off. The ‘crisis’ is blamed for the decision to call it a day. On the same street, the second premises used by Lori, the shoe shop, is up for sale.
Closing down…
The large ceramics shop in calle Granada (about halfway up/down) is in the final throes of closing, actually ceasing trading on September 30th. Probably get some good bargains – they have all sorts of good stuff in there including plants, not just the ceramics.
