Guardia Civil officers from Antequera have arrested three people suspected of removing the entire cabling system of a public park and industrial estate.
Several areas of Córdoba without public lighting due to cable thefts
In the period to July this year, thieves in Córdoba have so far stolen 70 kilometres of copper cable to leave several areas without street lighting.

Many streets in Bobadilla Estación, Antequera, have been without lighting for five days after thieves stole around 2,000 metres of copper cable.

Two Romanian nationals, aged 22 years and 25 years, were arrested by Guardia Civil officers in Villa del Río, Córdoba, after they stole 1,095 kilos of copper cable from the solar energy facility Central de Placas Solares located in the Huerto Solar park.
