Day of the Tourist 2015 takes place on Friday September 11th and the celebrations begin at midday with a ceremony in the Council Chambers to acclaim the Municipal Band as ‘Tourism Ambassadors’ for their national and international work.

A good end to the Day(s) of the Tourist with a well attended concert on the Balcon de Europa which saw the Asociación Folclórica “Renacer” from Badajoz and the Agrupación Folclórica Municipal de Nerja providing the entertainment. The concert on Friday evening with the Alminares Choir and the Nerja Municipal Band was equally well attended.

SICTED awards
A total of 15 companies who passed the evaluation of the Integrated Quality Tourism Destination (SICTED) received their diplomas on Saturday as part of the events of the Day of the Tourist.
