Guardia Civil officers in Almeria have detained the driver of a lorry carrying 80 bottles of butano gas following an accident on the road between Cuevas de Almanzora and Garrucha. The driver was six times the legal alcohol limit when tested.

A 58 year old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning after he drove for 40 kilometres in the wrong direction down the A-7 in Almería.
