Popped in to El Puente, at the western end of Nerja, for a quick lunchtime tapa and it was as good as ever. El Puente is invariably bustling with activity at lunchtime and yesterday, being a hot day, the terraces were almost full.

I was in the area so popped into El Puente – by the bridge into Nerja – for a mid-afternoon tapa and, as usual, was not disappointed. There is always a wide range of tapas on offer, the service is great and the atmosphere is quite friendly and cosy. I had a concoction of chick peas, pieces of morcilla (black pudding), …

El Puente on the way into Nerja, by Puente Nuevo, the cobbled bridge, always has some great tapas. This time I had a sort of stew, very meaty and tasty, washed down with a good sized beer, €1.60. Good value.

El Puente, near the bridge (Puente Nuevo) at the western entrance to Nerja, has always been a great tapas bar and remains so. Nice bar area, great terrace, delicious and varied tapas and a reasonable price, hard to find any fault at all. I had chick peas with morcilla and it was excellent. A beer and a tapa, €1.60.
