Electricity to go up by 2.3% on January 1st

The Government has announced that the price of electricity will rise by 2.3% as per January 1st 2014. This is significantly more than the Government initially indicated but significantly less than the increase wanted by the power companies.

Electricity prices go up tomorrow

The electricity tariff of last resort (TUR), used by about 20 million households, will rise on average by 1.5% as from tomorrow, July 1st, adding around 0.50 euros a month to the bill of the average consumer.

Electricity to go up by 9.8%

The proposed increase in the price of electricity proposed by the Ministry of  Industry has been approved by the Government Commission for Economic Affairs, meaning that the price of electricity will rise by an average of 9.8% as from January 1st 2011.
