Crackdown on radio stations in Andalucia

The Junta de Andalucia has suddenly decided to crack down on radio stations operating illegally, namely without a licence, and around 100 stations, all but the main national broadcasters, have received letters stating that they must cease broadcasting within ten days or face a fine of €100,000.

Licences for street trading to be put out to tender

The Association of Street Vendors in Málaga (AVAM) is up in arms against the decision by Torrox Council to put all the licences for the three municipal markets, around 150 places, out to tender.

Help for small businesses

The Council of Ministers has approved a royal decree designed to change the administrative culture, liberalise trade, eliminate bureaucracy, streamline and simplify procedures and support entrepreneurs, the measure including the so-called ‘autolicencia exprés’ – automatic licence.

Road Safety Strategic Plan 2011-2020

As part of the Road Safety Strategic Plan 2011-2020, which the Government is expected to approve soon, a working committee is to be set up to discuss the possibility of allowing people under eighteen years to drive if accompanied by an adult holding a full licence.
