Subsidies removed from toll roads
As from today, Sunday, the cost of driving on toll motorways will be 7.5% more expensive after the Central Government decided to withdraw subsidies to the concessionaires. In September, the price will rise by another 3% due to the increase in IVA (VAT).
Gas and electric goes up on Sunday
Sunday July 1st sees the cost of electricity rise by an average of 3.95% and the cost of natural gas rise by an average of 2.26%. The previous increase was in April, with electricity up by 7% and gas by 5%.

The price of a 12.5 litre bottle of butane gas is due to increase by 3.13% as from January 1st 2011, the new price being €13.19.
Price of butano gas bottle goes up as from today
The price of a standard12.5 litre bottle of butano gas goes up by 2.81% as from today, Friday October 1st. A bottle will now cost €12.79. The accumulated price increase so far this year is 16.6% – plus 3.4% in January, plus 5.7% in April, plus 4.7% in July and now plus 2.81% in October.

The price of butane and natural gas, the most common fuels in Spanish homes, rise by 5.75% and 4.1% respectively as from today.
Natural gas prices to go up
The maximum price of natural gas for the domestic consumer is set to rise by an average of 9.6% on October 12th following the quarterly review by the Ministry of Industry.
