The whole of the Torrecilla beachfront at the bottom of Plaza de los Cangrejos now has shiny new stainless steel railings. The wall of the second phase was completed some time ago and now, in the past few days, the railings have been added.

The old broken and rusty railings at Torrecilla beach have been removed and a start has already been made on constructing the retaining wall which will house the new stainless steel guardrail.

El Chucho beach in Nerja has just been flattened and tidied up and is looking rather splendid at the moment. The sea was flat calm and one or two people were swimming at Torrecilla beach.

Rather splendid shiny, new stainless steel railings are now in place along the first section of Torrecilla beach and Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos.

Work on the wall and, eventually, new weather-proof railings at Torrecilla beach is progressing at a reasonable pace and looking good.
Replacement of rusty railings
Work has started to replace the guard railings at the bottom of Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos near Torrecilla beach, the railings having deteriorated since their installation in 2000 by the Department of Coasts.
