Fifty km of pistes open at the Sierra Nevada Ski Resort

The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort in Granada has 50 kilometres of pistes available for skiing this weekend with spring snow on all tracks.and with  Laguna, Loma de Dílar, Borreguiles, Veleta and Río all open.

Good start to ski season in Granada

Around 5,500 people visited the Sierra Nevada ski resort on the first weekend of the new ski season with 40 kilometres of skiable pistes, four times the opening day average.

Weather permitting, the Laguna de las Yeguas area of the Sierra Nevada ski station should be open today and there could be a total of 80 kilometres of skiable pistes.

The Sierra Nevada ski resort has had its best weekend of the season so far with 64 kilometres of pistes open and night skiing possible for the first time.

Time to go on the piste

The ski season began on Saturday in the Sierra Nevada with 33 kilometres of skiable tracks and 9 lifts operating. There are 37 pistes open in Parador, Veleta, Borreguiles and Loma de Dílar and amongst the lifts currently operating are the chairlifts of Monachil, Virgen de las Nieves, Veletas and Sabika.
