The Department of Infrastructure is carrying out tests in various parts of the municipality using more energy efficient systems of lighting, most notably LED lights. These provide a similar brightness to traditional lamps but consume less power. The tests, started in August, will continue throughout September.
New lighting being tested
During August and September, a new system of lighting is being tested in the Parque Verano Azul. These are LED lights which provide a similar light to conventional lamps but use less energy and have increased performance.
