Twinning agreement

The Mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Francisco Delgado Bonilla (PP), and the president of the autonomous city of Melilla,, Juan José Imbroda (PP), have signed a twinning agreement to strengthen bonds of friendship and solidarity, described as important for both locations as it opens a new era of permanent cooperation and sharing of initiatives, experiences and solutions to problems.

Macharaviaya twinned with Pensacola (USA)

Representatives from the municipality of Macharaviaya have been spending a few days in the US city of Pensacola as part of ‘twinning’ celebrations. The connection between the towns is Bernardo de Gálvez, a military figure born in Macharaviaya who became a hero of the fight for North American independence and was later Viceroy of Nueva España.

Ronda and Cuenca reaffirm twinning

The Mayors of Ronda and Cuenca, Antonio María Marín Lara and Francisco Javier Pulido, yesterday reaffirmed the twinning of the two towns, the original agreement dating back to 1975.
