According to figures released by the Tourist Office in Nerja, a total of 16,344 people visited the offices during the month of August. Of these, roughly 50% were Spanish visitors, 25 % were British and the rest a mix of people from 56 different countries.
Some of the more unusual questions asked by visitors to the Tourist Office were ‘ which is the best beach for sleeping on?’ and ‘Do the Nerja Caves have a lift?’. Wonder how many asked ‘Does Nerja have a sewage works yet?’ or ‘What is the slick off Burriana beach?’.
