Nerja’s hotels hang sold out sign because of the Chanquete this Saturday

The city councillor for the Youth of Nerja’s Council, Sara Rivas Martínez, informs that all local hotels will be at maximum capacity this weekend, on the occasion of the celebration of Chanquete World Music, which will take place this Saturday at El Playazo beach.

Festival’s ticket offices will be open from 16’00 hours at the entrance, located in the very beach, directly through the promenade of El Playazo, since Nacional 340 avenue is not working properly, so to reach Nerja it is recommended to use the dual carriageway.

The ‘chanqueteros’ will be able to get to the festival on shuttles available in all authorised parking areas. Price per travel, showing ticket or wristband, will be 2,30 euros.

Saturday’s show in Chanquete World Music will start at 17’10 hours, ten minutes after the opening of El Playazo to the visitors, with the performance of Proyecto Mandarina.

Macaco, Mala Rodríguez, Chambao, Morodo & Okoume Lions, Miguel Campello, Tote King & Shotta (DJ Nexxa), El Canijo de Jerez, Shabu and Holy Boyz will be responsible for completing a day filled with good music.

After Proyecto Mandarina, at 18’00 hours will be the turn of local singer Shabu, who was added to the line up on last June. Shabu will hand the baton on the stage of Chanquete World Music to Morodo & Okoume Lions, from 19’00 hours.

At 20’30 will start Miguel Campello’s show, and after him, at 22’30 hours, Chambao will get on stage. At 23’30 hours it is scheduled to start concert Mala Rodríguez, and from 1’00 will be the turn of Macaco.

Canijo de Jerez, who visited the town the day of the presentation of the festival last May 12th, will start singing from 2’30 hours, giving way to the rhythms of Tote King & Shotta (DJ Nexxa) and Holy Boyz, until six o’clock, closing time of Chanquete World Music.
