Local Police have cleared an illegal encampment, consisting of three vehicles, near the beach in Maro.
Several Italian and one Swiss national were with the three vehicles illegally camped near the beach. Owners of two of the vehicles readily agreed to move on when it was pointed out that the municipal ordinances prohibit camping but the co-owner of the third vehicle apparently got a bit stroppy.
However, once warned that his attitude could be considered a breach of the Public Safety Law he also agreed to cooperate with the officers and move on.
