A soldier was seriously injured yesterday after being shot in the neck during military manoevres at a base near Ronda.
The 30 year old soldier was shot just after midnight in circumstances as yet unknown, although the incident did occur on the firing range near the Campillos road during manouevres. After an initial assessment at the local medical facility, the injured man was taken to Carlos Haya hospital in Málaga.
It is also known that he was shot with an HK assault rifle by a fellow soldier with the rank of Captain.
