Work on the main road into Fuengirola, avenida Los Boliches, is now expected to be finished by mid-April. The announcement was made by the Councillor for Urbanism, Ana Mula, after a visit to the site.
The project has so far cost the municipality in excess of €1 million. Virtually all the underground work – telephone and electric cables, sewage pipes, drainage, drinking water channels and natural gas conduits – has now been completed. The surface work is about 50% complete at the moment. The road section still has to be filled in, compacted and surfaced and there is also the installation of park benches, lampposts and rubbish bins to come.
