At 13:30 today. Sunday, the mayor of Alhaurín el Grande will inaugurate the new mirador (viewpoint) Huerto Matea, built at a cost of €220,000 and funded jointly by the Council and the Ministry of Tourism.

The new mirador, a 2,500 square metre site, is located between calles Zape, Nazareth and Ascensión. It is built on two levels and affords magnificent views across the Guadalhorce valley. There is a children’s playground, exercise equipment for the elderly, a pergola, a garden area and a number of benches.

In addition, a dozen parking spaces have been made available in the area, making it easier to visit other attractions in the vicinity such as the Fuente Lucena and the Convent.
