New water management system in Torrox

The water company Aqualia has invested over €2 million in an electrical water management system in Torrox to improve the water supply network.

The electronic system helps to prevent leakage, optimises sanitation in the town and regulates the water pressure according to the demand at any particular time of day. At night, for example, when the demand for water is less, the pressure can drop considerably and this means that all buildings over four storeys must now conform to the current law and proceed with the installation of a sort of regulator to ensure that they are not affected by any such reduction in pressure.

Aqualia will provide technical advice to residents regarding requirements and installation.
