Jeremy Clarkson, no stranger to controversy, has found himself in deep water once again after describing Prime Minister Gordon Brown as ‘a one-eyed Scottish idiot’ during a trip to Australia.
Many deem the references to Gordon Brown’s disability (he lost an eye in a rugby accident as a teenager) and his Scottish heritage as totally inappropriate.
One person even went so far as to say:
Most people here are proud that the Prime Minister is a Scot and believe him to be the right person to get the UK through this global economic crisis.
But that’s pushing it a bit. Although it could be argued that as he got the country into a mess in the first place, he can jolly well clean it up.
