A 49 year old paediatrician has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of thousands of images and videos relating to child pornography.
The doctor was arrested yesterday morning as the police continue their crackdown on internet child pornography following recent amendments to the Penal Code which make both possession and distribution of such material a criminal offence.
Although the doctor works in Benalmádena, the arrest took place in Málaga city and was carried out by the Agentes del Equipo Mujer-Menor (Emume) and Guardia Civil. Amongst the thousands of images were some said to contain scenes of violence.
