Two explosions occurred yesterday morning at an electrical sub-station in Cuesta del Visillo, Torre del Mar.
The explosions, the result of a technical fault, occurred at some time between 11:00 and 11:30 and caused quite a bit of consternation amongst local residents. The Fire Brigade were quickly on the scene but were not actually needed.
Damage was minimal and, apart from a slight reduction in light intensity in some areas, there was no effect on the local power grid.
