Málaga beaches

Showers on Málaga beaches are set to turn off each day at 20:00 in order to conserve valuable water supplies.

Andalucía is still in a drought situation and, as a result, Málaga beach showers will be turned off at 20:00 each day in an attempt to conserve water. The showers are controlled by a solenoid fitted with a timer so the procedure is automatic. In the past, before the drought decree in the province, the showers would be working twenty-four hours a day summer and winter.

Two Málaga beaches have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag, El Dedo and La Malagueta, and a fruther four have received the Q for Quality certification, Misericordia, El Palo, El Dedo and Pedregalejo
