At least one of the arrests this morning of suspected Russian mafia bosses took place in Nerja.
In total, twenty people have been detained in connection with money laundering and arms trafficking, mostly along the Costa del Sol but also some in Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante and the Balearic Islands.
Operation ‘Troika’ involved some 200 police officers and at least one of those detained is a resident of Nerja, with raids being carried on houses in the valle de Río Seco in Nerja and La Loma de las Vacas in Frigiliana. So start speculating!
