In order to present the right image as the influx of tourists begins, there will be extra refuse collections in certain areas of Nerja.
Starting on June 30th and continuing until September 12th, there will be extra collections of non-organic rubbish (paper, cardboard and plastics) in calles Carmen, Puerta del Mar, Pintada, Cruz and Angustias.
The collections will take place during the ‘siesta’ time, namely between 14:00 and 15:00, on Monday to Friday each week.
The Council also reminds traders that, as regards organic rubbish, they are subject to the same rules and regulations as the rest of the good citizens of Nerja, which means no rubbish bags on the streets until after midnight. The Local Police have the possibility to fine offenders.
