Guardia Civil officers in Córdoba have arrested four people in connection with 36 bank robberies during the past five years.
The gang has been operating since 2002 and the ringleader, a 37 year old Italian national, has been on the ‘most wanted’ list for the past five years.
The gang are known to have carried out robberies in Murcia, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Badajoz, Córdoba , Sevilla, Jaén, Granada and Huelva and were detained after robbing the CajaSur bank in La Carlota and a petrol station in Villaharta.
All four are currently behind bars.
