A 19 year old youth of Portuguese origin has been arrested in Salamanca after allegedly stabbing to death his 18 year old girlfriend.
The incident occured at around 17:00 yesterday in the town of Villamayor de la Armuñana. The couple were apparently having an argument inside a vehicle, the argument subsequently turning into a tragedy. The alleged assailant then called the Guardia Civil to tell them what had happened.
The young girl is the 37th victim of gender violence in Spain so far this year and the fourth fatality in Castilla y León.
