A boat carrying at least nine illegal immigrants managed to reach the Nerja coast late last night.
The boat was found on the beach by the Guardia Civil and nine immigrants, all male and adults, were duly detained and transferred to the National Police headquarters in Torre del Mar.
However, as the boat had already landed, there is the distinct possibility that there were more than nine passengers on board and a search of the area is being carried out.
