Manuel E. Navas de la Torre, founder and president of the Nerja Petanca Club, died on Saturday following a long illness.
Manuel E. Navas de la Torre was the driving force behind the setting up of the petanca courts in Parque Verano Azul which not only drew people from all over Andalucía but also hosted several major championships.
The burial took place on Sunday in Frigiliana.
