The Nerja Council has expressed surprise at only learning of an initiative to include the Rio Chillar in the Axarquia water supply network through various reports in the media.
The initiative to incorporate the Rio Chillar into the Axarquia water supply network has been proposed by the Andalucían Parliament and the mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Francisco Delgado Bonilla, but it all seems to have been done without consultation with the local, Nerja government.
