Plane crash survivor now in Intensive Care

One of the survivors of the Madrid plane crash, 67 year old Ángeles Carpintero, is now in intensive care at the October 12th hospital in Madrid following a worsening of her condition.

Ángeles Carpintero suffered breathing problems this morning and was transferred to Intensive Care and, although she no longer requires mechanical ventilation, her condition has now considered ‘very serious’. She is suffering from severe head injuries and an open fracture of the left tibia.

Better news regarding 22 year old Leandro Ortega. Although still classified as serious, his condition is said to be improving favourably.

There has been no change in the condition of the other 12 survivors, two of whom remain in a critical condition.
