Storms have caused damage in several municipalities, Periana being particularly badly hit.
Five houses in Periana have been badly damaged, several of which will have to be completely demolished as they are no longer safe. The intense rain, about 40 litres per square meter, ruptured the main municipal sewer and this caused at least one property to collapse.
The rains also caused problems with the sewage systems in Alhaurin el Grande, Alhaurin de la Torre, Coín and Algarrobo.
