A 31 year old man has been detained in Marratxi, Palma de Mallorca, on suspicion of killing his partner. The man reported the death to the local Guardia Civil some twelve hours after the event and suspicions were aroused after he gave two conflicting accounts of events.
Firstly, he said that his partner had gone out to buy drugs and had been beaten up, subsequently dying from her wounds. Later, he changed his story and said she had fallen off a motorcycle. The couple were both drug users.
The woman’s body showed multiple bruises to the body and neck and she had a broken rib cage. The accused is due in court charged with murder.
