A busy weekend on the illegal immigration front in the Canary Islands this weekend, another 164 being spotted and intercepted last night.
A cayuco with 164 passengers on board was spotted about 170 miles south of Gran Canaria. The occupants were transferred to the Maritime Rescue vessel ‘Conde de Gondomar’ and were taken to the port of Arguineguín on the south-west coast of the island.
